The Canadian government has officially ended its fast track visa program for international students from 14 countries. According to the University of British Columbia website, the Student Direct Admission Program (SDS) is a program designed to expedite the application for study permits for eligible international students.
This SDS program is open to residents of 14 countries, including Antigua and Barbuda Brazil、China、Colombia、Costa Rica、India、Morocco、Pakistan、Peru、Philippines、Senegal、St. Vincent and the Grenadines、Trinidad and Tobago And Vietnam. Potential college students from Nigeria have a similar Nigeria Student Express (NSE) process. The last day for application is November 8th, 2024.
On March 21, 2024, Immigration Minister Miller announced a reduction in Canada's Temporary Resident (TR) population to 5% of the total population over the next three years, "said a representative from the Department of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (IRCC).
