Course Setting:
FIC offers pre university level University Transfer Program (UTP) Stage 1 and university level UTP Stage 2 courses for students entering business, science, or humanities majors.
FIC and Simon Fraser University collaborate to offer UTP Stage 2 courses, which are an optional shortcut to entering university degree education. The curriculum is the same as the first-year curriculum at Simon Fraser University, and the university supervises the quality of curriculum education. By successfully completing the UTP Phase 2 course of FIC and meeting the average score required for university admission, you will be able to smoothly enter the second year of the relevant bachelor's degree program at Simon Fraser University.
FIC provides special information services for students who have completed Phase 2 of the University Transfer Program (UTP) to enter Simon Fraser University. You will receive comprehensive information about the courses, optional majors, course structure, and application methods for the degree you have chosen in your second year of university. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend a specially arranged freshman admission ceremony event to help you smoothly transition to your second year of university studies in the degree program at Simon Fraser University.
FIC holds graduation ceremonies twice a year for students who have successfully completed the UTP Phase 2 course.
Entry Requirement
1. High school graduates in their sophomore and junior years (note: sophomore students start from the UTP1 course and enter their second year at Simon Fraser University two years later; senior students and high school graduates start from UTP2. After one year, they enter their second year at Simon Fraser University)
2. English requirement: IELTS minimum requirement of 4.5 points
3. Average score of over 70%
