School Introduction:

Our school was founded in 1788 and covers an area of approximately 65 acres. It is the first independent high school in Canada. At present, there are about 340 students and 34 faculty members, with the best student to teacher ratio. With fewer class members, students can receive more comprehensive care, achieving the effect of teaching according to their aptitude. Most of the students come from Canadian students along the Atlantic coast, and we also recruit international students every year to enrich our campus. Dormitory life is very important for students in our school, as most of them live in dormitories. There are two female dormitories with approximately 64 students living in them. There are three teachers and one nurse taking care of them, and their rooms are also located in the dormitories. Each floor has two large student lounges and laundry facilities.

There are two male dormitories, divided into six large suites, each with about 2-4 students. Each suite is managed by a teacher, and there will be security guards patrolling the room in the evening to ensure the safety of teachers and students. There are nearly 10 full-time teachers living on campus in the dormitory, while other teachers who do not live in the dormitory also take turns to live on campus. Because many extracurricular activities take place after 3:15 pm or even in the evening, the proportion of teachers living on campus is much higher than other boarding schools.

School location/equipment:

The school is located in Windson, the capital of Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada, about 70 kilometers by car from Halifax. The city is located in Annapolis Valley, which was the first developed place in Canada and is very simple. About 80% of the residents have ancestors from the Commonwealth of Great Britain, about 15% from Germany, and 5% of the population is of various ethnicities. Windsor has a population of approximately 5000 people and convenient living facilities. There are many public transportation options to and from Halifax International Airport, and the school also provides transportation services between the airports. Acadia University, a very famous university in Canada, is located in the nearby city of Wolfville and has established close connections with our university. Our students can freely use the university's library equipment and various recreational activities.

The school equipment was completed in three different periods, with extremely modern sports halls, audio-visual classrooms, science experiment centers, and performance halls. In 1998, a fitness center was added, providing innovative equipment and a coffee shop, combining sports and leisure. The performing arts center, completed in 2004, is comparable to world-class standards. The library near our campus is connected to the computer network of a well-known university nearby, providing shared resources for our students.

Course Introduction:

In addition to complete academic courses, there are also very rich courses in art performance and design. In addition, there are approximately 800 schools worldwide that offer IB courses, and our school is the sixth to offer IB courses. With a history of 22 years, we have extensive experience in IB programs. The school adopts a small class system, with no more than 16 students per class, and each student can receive careful care and concern from the teacher.

In extracurricular activities, the school believes that sports are a part of students' lives, so it carefully arranges many extracurricular activities for students to participate in every two hours after class. At the same time, it also provides many different clubs to encourage students to join, covering a wide range of content, such as photography club, debate club, mountaineering club, Go club, computer club, etc., to promote the cultivation of students' interpersonal relationships and sense of participation. The school has also established many ball teams, hoping that students can enhance their competitiveness and confidence through team competitions. The types of extracurricular activities are as follows:

Hockey, volleyball, basketball, baseball, badminton, English football, rugby, tennis, skiing, athletics, wrestling, cycling teams, cross-country skiing, etc.
