In order to implement the policy of "community building education first", the Canadian Mandarin Chinese Association organized relevant schools to establish a registered non-profit joint education institution, the Chinese Language and Culture Joint School, in 2001.

   

The joint school aims to promote Mandarin, promote Chinese culture, benefit society, and serve the Chinese community. It has a Chinese department, music department, art department, dance department, and sports department.

   

The Chinese Department offers courses ranging from 1 to 6 years, using the 12 volume unified Chinese textbooks recommended by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China. It teaches Chinese Pinyin, learns simplified and complex Chinese, adapts to individual needs, and progresses step by step, with the goal of popularizing Mandarin Chinese education. At the same time, it also conducts pilot classes for the Chinese National Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, aiming to cultivate bilingual talents in English and Chinese by passing the HSK exam; The music department has established a children's choir and violin performance class; The art department has launched children's cartoon classes and basic sketching classes; The dance department offers junior and senior classes for children; The sports department has youth martial arts Sanda team, swordsmanship team, and elite swimming team.

   

The school's teaching schedule is two-hour classes every Saturday, including one hour of Chinese class. One hour self selected cultural class.
