Frank Scarpitti, the Mayor of Wanjin City, personally attended the scene and delivered a passionate speech. As the representative of Wanjin City, the mayor expressed in his speech that he highly values the Langyi Garden project and warmly congratulates its successful launch. He pointed out that the development of the Langyi Garden community is an important measure to improve the living environment for the elderly. The special feature of the project is that it not only solves the housing problem for the elderly, but also provides high-quality services.

Mayor Xue Jiaping also emphasized that the project design is reasonable. After the completion of the project, in addition to restaurants and activity venues, medical clinics and home services will also be opened in the community to provide convenient medical and living security for elderly residents. In addition, there is a park around the project with an area of about three acres for the entire community to use. It is not easy to obtain park land in this valuable location, which makes the park particularly precious.

Mayor Xue Jiaping also introduced that this area will develop into a central urban area with over 100000 residents in the future, and the government will actively promote the development of this area. In such a large environment, it adheres to its original intention and provides affordable housing, which invisibly greatly increases the investment value of the project.

In his speech, the mayor especially thanked Lavida Public Welfare Foundation for not only considering the economic benefits and canceling the project like other developers, but also choosing to build an affordable residential community for the elderly in the superior location of Hwy7 and Warden in Wanjin City under the tough environment of the COVID-19 and high interest rates. The mayor also thanked the Langyi Garden team for their relentless efforts, which ultimately made this vision a reality and made significant contributions to society.
