Creating ceramic business cards, Guangxi's millennium porcelain town continues to write a new chapter on the Silk Road

On November 23rd, Pan Xiaoxian, a reporter from the Indonesian newspaper "Qiandao Daily", visited the Ceramic Town in Beiliu City, Guangxi and couldn't put down the ceramic work "Thousand Peaks Stacking Green" in the exhibition hall. This product is mainly in dark blue color, paired with ethereal landscape paintings. The porcelain is crystal clear and white, elegant yet luxurious, making people's hearts flutter at first glance.

On that day, 20 overseas media participating in the "Yujian Beautiful Shared Future - Overseas Media Yulin Tour" interview activity visited Beiliu City, Guangxi, a millennium porcelain town, to appreciate the charm of local ceramic culture.

Beiliu was formerly known as the "Ceramic Accompanying Capital" and is now known as the "Famous City of Chinese Ceramics". It is one of the birthplaces of Lingnan ceramic culture in China. According to historical records, during the prosperous period, millions of exquisite porcelain pieces from Beiliu flowed down the Xijiang River and out of Guangzhou every year, using the "Maritime Silk Road" to market on the other side of the ocean.

Entering the Ceramic Museum in the Ceramic Town, a "long river" showcasing the development history of ceramics unfolds in an orderly manner. Here, ceramic antiques from various dynasties and contemporary ceramics from the Northern Stream are displayed, telling the development of Chinese ceramics and the history of the development of Northern Stream ceramics.

In history, ceramics were an important commodity on the ancient Maritime Silk Road. Nowadays, ceramic trade between China and foreign countries has become an important component of cultural exchange and mutual learning. Beiliu has now developed into an export base for Chinese daily-use ceramics and one of the four major production areas for daily-use ceramics.

It is reported that ceramic enterprises in Beiliu City all produce high-temperature ceramics, with a firing temperature of around 1380 degrees Celsius. The colors of the products are fuller, more crystal clear, the hand feel is smooth and delicate, the sound is crisp, the hardness is stronger, and the quality is superior.

Our daily ceramic products integrate the essence of Chinese and Western cultures, with over 75% of our products exported to countries and regions such as Europe, America, the Middle East, Japan, and South Korea, "said Zheng Xiangyu, Executive Director of Guangxi Sanhuan Enterprise Group Co., Ltd.

Beiliu City vigorously promotes the transformation and upgrading of the entire ceramic industry chain, forming a relatively complete industrial chain including ceramic production, raw material processing, ceramic machinery, research and development institutions, and export trade.

In recent years, relying on the technical support of relevant research institutions, we have entered the high-tech ceramic industry, carried out research and industrialization of micro nano fiber Sic ceramics, big health ceramics, etc., and created new core competitiveness through technology and innovation, "said Zheng Xiangyu.

The "friend circle" of ceramics in Beiliu City continues to expand. Through China ASEAN Expo, China (Beiliu) International Ceramics Expo and other open platforms, the city has expanded exchanges and cooperation with countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", and ceramic trade has burst into new vitality.

Ceramics are Chinese treasures and important business cards of Chinese civilization. The official of Beiliu City stated that the city will do a good job in "ceramics+" and create characteristic brands such as "ceramics+tourism", "ceramics+culture", "ceramics+tea", etc., to better promote the integrated development of the ceramic industry and the inheritance and innovation of ceramic culture.
