Exploration Tour of Western Hainan: New Discoveries in the Construction of Free Trade Ports
Hainan Island, as the second largest island in China, is home to the provincial capital city of Haikou in the north, the remote location of Sanya in the south, Wenchang, one of China's two major space launch bases along the eastern coastline, and Boao, the location of the Forum for Asia. These are all well-known routes that I have interviewed several times.
This time, at the invitation of the China Overseas Chinese Federation, I participated in the Dream Chasing China High spirited Free Trade Port Wind Collection Activity, taking the western route. For me, it was a journey of exploration and discovery.
The Qilou Old Street in Haikou still preserves the rows of buildings built by returning overseas Chinese who returned to their hometowns in glory, witnessing the development of Haikou from a small fishing village to a bustling city. The arcade with a strong Nanyang style, which preserves a large number of historical relics and folk legends, allows tourists to travel through time and space and experience the unique folk customs of Hainan.
The Hainan Nuclear Power Base located in Changjiang, as the "ballast stone" for energy supply guarantee in the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, is the southernmost nuclear power base in China, the largest clean energy base of Hainan Free Trade Port, and also the industrial tourism base of Hainan Province. Known as the most beautiful place to watch the sunset, Changjiang boasts lush vegetation along its coastline, but behind it are nearly a hundred persevering fishing village women who fight against the wind and sand, using their thirty years of youth to exchange for ten thousand acres of coastal defense forests in the desert.
The treasure of the Xinjiang Museum is a Han Dynasty woven brocade - Five Stars Rising from the East for the Benefit of China. Mingyang Group, located in Dongfang City, fully utilizes Dongfang's abundant offshore wind energy resources, accelerates the development of green and clean energy industries such as offshore wind power and solar energy, develops clean energy related industries such as "offshore wind power+hydrogen production", "offshore wind power+new energy storage", and "offshore wind power+deep-sea cage aquaculture", and plans the hydrogen energy industry chain. To become an international first-class and world-class marine equipment industry base based in the East, serving Hainan, and facing Southeast Asia.
In order to attract fragrant butterflies, the unique geographical environment and favorable investment conditions have enabled the Crocodile Treasure Group to settle in Hongcao Village, Dongfang City, creating the largest crocodile breeding base in China covering an area of over 8000 acres and producing nearly 400000 crocodile seedlings annually. The Crocodile Treasure Crocodile Park integrates ecological tourism and popular science education, developing a series of crocodile products. The Crocodile Town has become famous, attracting numerous tourists from both inside and outside the island, and providing thousands of job opportunities for local villagers, promoting the stable and sustainable development of the local economy.
There are 18 peaks with an altitude of over 1000 meters in the mountainous area of Changnan Jianfengling National Forest Park. Jianfengling, with an altitude of 1412 meters, is the first peak in the park, formed by long-term geological movements (granite intrusion, crustal uplift). It has a unique geological feature of "looking horizontally at the ridge and forming peaks on both sides".
The Baisha River Valley Local Cultural Park allows people to fully understand and experience Hainan's unique ethnic historical heritage, cultural atmosphere, and the gap between changes in the times in a comprehensive, multi-level, and immersive manner.
Magical primitive forests, rare tropical flora and fauna, picturesque coconut groves and sea scenery, and other natural landscapes; Li and Miao ethnic customs, precious cultural relics and sites, and other cultural landscapes; Combined with its pleasant climate, Hainan, with the construction of a free trade port, is showcasing its charming charm to the world with a brand new look.
