New Year's Eve 2025: The most exciting countdown party in Toronto and its surrounding areas!

2025 is coming soon, and there will be various New Year celebrations on Tuesday evenings in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Firstly, it should be noted that TTC, GOTransit, and UP Express will operate for free from 7pm on December 31st to 8am on January 1st, with additional services provided.

Here are some places to celebrate the New Year at GTA:

Toronto New Year Celebration Event

The official Toronto New Year celebration will be held at Harbourfront.

Event Time: Starting at 10pm and ending at 1am

Highlights: A 10 minute high-altitude fireworks display will be synchronized with music to create a light feast for the waterfront area; DJ Skating Night, providing skating rental services

Distillery District New Year Celebration Event

Throughout December, the Distillery District was bustling with a winter market, and New Year's Eve was no exception.

There are entertainment performances and midnight fireworks shows on site, and tickets need to be purchased in advance:

Admission after 9pm $30

Admission before 9pm $15

Countdown NYE

The Countdown NYE, known as GTA's largest New Year's Eve party, will once again be held at Liberty Grand.

Event time: 9pm to 3am, tickets need to be purchased in advance.

CN Tower New Year's Eve Meal

If you want to spend New Year's Eve at CN Tower, 360 Rotating Restaurant has a three course dinner. Price: $150 per person, advance booking required.

Wanjin Origin Square New Year's Eve Party

Location: Origin Square, 169 Enterprise Blvd, Markham， Free admission.

Event Highlights:

DJ Oliver： From 9pm to 10pm, bring house, techno, dance, and pop music.

Something Free band: From 10pm to 11:30pm, playing pop, rock, and classic 80s songs.

Markham's official timekeeper John will lead the exciting midnight countdown.

Angus Glen – Fairway of Lights (NYE Fireworks)

Experience the magical power of 'Fairway of Lights' at Angus Glen, transforming the entire golf course into a charming winter wonderland!

Light Walk: Immerse yourself in the festive colored golf course and leisurely stroll.

Activities include: Photo Booth, North Fire Circus performance (7:15 pm), J-Tron performance (6:30 pm and 8:00 pm).

Fireworks display: 8:30 pm.

Whitchurch – Stouffville New Year Fireworks and Celebrations

Bring your whole family to Memorial Park and end the year with a lively fireworks display!

Event Highlights:

Enjoy exciting live performances with neighbors and light up the main stage.

Free hot drinks (limited supply) will bring you warmth in the cold.

Fireworks display: It will bloom promptly at 7 pm, putting a perfect end to the countdown to the New Year.
