The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Canadian Shenzhen Federation of Societies was successfully held simultaneously in Toronto and Shenzhen
On November 12th Toronto time (November 13th Shenzhen time), the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Canadian Shenzhen Federation of Societies was held simultaneously at the New Power Studio in Toronto and the Sci China Canada Innovation Center in Shenzhen. Nearly 200 officials, leaders, and representatives from the political, community, business, cultural, and media sectors of both regions, as well as leaders, directors, and members of the association and its affiliated associations, attended this annual event.

The entire evening party kicked off with a stunning countdown video full of technology. The video was accompanied by a high difficulty ribbon dance, and every scene was dreamlike under the spotlight, bringing a refreshing experience to the guests present. Next, the grand and uplifting celebration drum, magical flying colors, and the stunning video dance at the beginning completed a thrilling and exciting prelude to the evening party.
Next, with the national anthems of Canada and China, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Federation of Societies in Shenzhen, Canada officially begins. A magnificent urban promotional video of Shenzhen showcases the latest development achievements and charm of the city. The President of the Association, Qi Jia, delivered a passionate opening speech. She stated that against the backdrop of insufficient global demand leading to slower than expected economic recovery after the epidemic, the Association actively participated in community building in Canada through the joint efforts of the Council and its members. Through a series of activities and services organized by the Association of Fellow Villagers and the Chamber of Commerce, the Association provided assistance to its members and friends to the best of its ability, demonstrating the solidarity, friendship, and dedication of the people of Shenzhen in Canada, strengthening the connection between fellow villagers, and enhancing the cohesion and innovative vitality of the Association.

This year, which is also the seventh year since the establishment of the Shenzhen Federation of Canadian Societies, Chairman Qi Jia would like to express his special thanks to all the executive chairpersons, co chairpersons, directors, and members of the federation for their hard work and selfless dedication. She said that in the past seven years, it is precisely because of everyone's joint efforts that we have been able to achieve today's results. At the same time, we also want to thank the guests from all walks of life for their continuous care.
Confidence is more important than gold. To cope with multiple economic challenges, more inclusive and open cooperation is needed. Peace and development, fairness and justice, cooperation and win-win are still common aspirations and pursuits. At this critical moment, the Association should unite closely, fully promote the innovative and practical spirit of Shenzhen people, and give full play to the important role of non-governmental organizations like the Association in promoting the construction of Chinese communities in Toronto, Canada. Together, we can tackle challenges and create a better future!
