The first Wanjin New Year's Eve Gala opened with great enthusiasm and came to a successful conclusion

On January 30, 2023, the Wanjin Elderly Association Federation held its first Wanjin New Year's Eve Gala at Yinfei Qin Shop, which was very popular!

This event is advocated and planned by Mr. He Hujing, Chairman of the Cultural and Economic Development Department of Wanjin City and District Councilor, to enrich the cultural life of citizens, celebrate together with the people, and create a harmonious community.

Although this event was unexpectedly popular, it also received high praise from all actors and audiences. At the event, Councilor He Hu from the scenic area delivered a New Year's greeting, saying that as the Chairman of the Cultural and Economic Development Department of Wanjin City, he has participated in several major international economic exchange activities in the past year and gained valuable insights. Guided by the grand goal of "developing cultural and tourism industries and creating high-end technology" proposed by Mayor Xue Jiaping of Wanjin, he will spare no effort to promote the development of cultural economy in Wanjin City in the new year, and strive to make citizens' lives more fulfilling in the new year! Specially invited guest, Canadian soprano singer Chen Mo also sang a song called "Spring Ballet" and served as a judge for the Elderly Fashion Show competition together with Councilor Liu.

The first Wanjin New Year's Eve Gala also arranged a very important segment - the Elderly Fashion Show. Councilor Ho Ho King believes that nowadays children and young people have fashion show competitions, and in Toronto, there is also a "spicy mom" competition. And our elderly people in their 60s to 80s also love fashion. Maye Musk, the mother of Elon Musk, dresses fashionably and lives a carefree life. Even the elderly in Wanjin City can live a wonderful life like her! At his suggestion, the "We are Maye Musk" competition kicked off with a magnificent finale! Eight teams have registered, with the Red Maple Sunset Art Troupe winning the championship CEFS Centre's auxiliary community won second place, and Dongfeng Cai won third place. When we revisit the other five teams, each with their own strengths, the level of the Chinese Elderly Association is really top-notch now!
