The iQiyi original music variety show "China's New Rap" is the stage for the rise of global Chinese rap artists such as Ouyang Jing, GAI Zhou Yan, Ai Fu Jenny, and Jony J. Since the launch of "China's New Rap" in 2017, iQiyi has been committed to exploring the market potential of China's rap music industry and promoting the expansion of rap music in China, leading the new trend of youth popular culture.

The new season of 'New Rap 2024' has also brought the stage of rap auditions overseas. Since its launch in the summer of 2023, the overseas competition area has selected 24 talented contestants from over 500 participants in 8 sub regions, including the West Coast, East Coast, West Coast, New York, Boston, Sydney, Melbourne, and other regions around the world. After a highly competitive semifinals, these rappers left behind six contestants to fly to New York last weekend to compete. The last three winners will represent overseas contestants on the main stage.

The finals will be held on February 2nd in New York City, USA. Rapeter Wu Jiaxuan, Majin, and Castle stand out and will soon fly to China to join the main stage competition! The six contestants participating in the overseas finals are:

Castle $: A Chinese American rapper who grew up in Philadelphia, USA. Castle is skilled at depicting the situations of people in cold and harsh environments, capturing the warmth and coldness of human emotions among different classes, and creating group portraits of street life. 2018 China's New Rap returns to the Chinese Mainland as one of the "top three in North America".

Tang Chengjun ChillsenOne: Born in Changsha, Hunan, currently residing in Canada, a member of Arkham Music (A.K.R), a local music label in Vancouver. He is the director of Dounle-C, a young and outstanding Mandarin/English rapper, original musician, pop singer, and one of the top 24 Chinese rap artists in the world. He is a strong new generation member of CSC and has had a passion for music since childhood, demonstrating exceptional musical talent. At the age of 13, he began to explore hip-hop music and began producing original music works.

Jinzy Hu Jingzhi: Born in Shanghai, started self-learning music production in early 2020, and enjoys trying to integrate different styles and elements. In the same year, he released his first original single "I Left The City That Night" as a gift for his 20th birthday. In 2021, participated in the recording of the music variety show "Black Fear Girl" and became a popular topic singer and member of the top six labels. At the end of 2022, I will return to New York University and be active in local underground music venues such as Open Mic, completing my undergraduate studies within three years.

Lil Slower, born in Changchun City, Jilin Province. I currently reside in Toronto and started practicing rap in 2017. I started creating rap songs in 2018. At present, the total number of Tiktok videos played has exceeded 100 million, and the total number of station B videos played has exceeded 15 million.

Majin： As a mixed race person of Chinese and German descent who grew up in Indonesia, Majin has always enjoyed creating since childhood. Her childhood was influenced by multiculturalism, so popular music from various countries such as reggae, rock, and R&B were the nutrients that shaped Majin's growth. Her music is always accompanied by fluent English and a magnetic voice, and she can speak with dominance without deliberately creating any atmosphere.

Wu Jiaxuan Rapeter began experimenting with creative work in 2016 and entered the Finance Department of Shanghai University in 2017. In 2018, he released the single "S.H.U" which entered the public eye and received over 999 reviews on the NetEase Cloud Music platform. I will enter New York University for graduate studies in the fall of 2022. The masterpiece of Newboombap, "NO HOOK FREESTYLE Pt. 3," released at the end of 2022, won the championship of the NetEase Cloud New Blood Competition and quickly received 999+comments. The judging panel and performing guests of the overseas finals of "New Rap 2024" are also eye-catching. The jury invited Geng Danhao, Senior Vice President of iQiyi, Jojo Brim, Senior Vice President of Warner Music Artist and Fan Marketing, Kong Lingqi, recipient of the rap OG Golden Melody Award, Sbazzo Mark, and Young Kin, members of the Chinese rap pioneer group Hidden Group. The lineup of performing guests includes special guest AK Liu Zhang, opening guest Rain Huang Junren from the top 24 overseas, Gizmo Wang Yutong, ¥ ouki Liu Yuqi, and popular singer Michelson, who helped sing as a guest singer, Max Aidan and Cheng Siyuan.
