IQiyi North America supports the China Canada Film Festival: sharing the charm of film art online and offline!
The 9th China Canada International Film Festival will kick off on July 20, 2024 at Toronto Metropolitan University. The Toronto opening ceremony and screening event attracted a large number of filmmakers and film enthusiasts to participate, witnessing this grand film event together.
One of the highlights of this film festival is undoubtedly the film "Chasing the Moon" produced by iQiyi Pictures, which depicts the conflict between the career and family of Yue opera star Teacher Qi, allowing the audience to experience the clever fusion of traditional Chinese culture and modern elements. Director Qiao Liang, the winner of Best Director at this film festival and a special guest, also shared his creative experience with the audience on site: "I am very honored to be here to meet with overseas audiences and share my love for film art with everyone. For overseas audiences who cannot come to the scene, they can also watch 'Chasing the Moon' through iQiyi International Edition. I hope my film can bring new thinking and inspiration to everyone. Director Qiao Liang is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Beijing Film Academy. In 2023, "Chasing the Moon" directed by him also won the nomination of the best small and medium-sized feature film of the 36th China Film Golden Rooster Award Award.
