The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), which attracts millions of visitors every summer, offers a wide range of food, drink, and entertainment options. And this year's unique highlight is undoubtedly the indoor large-scale lantern exhibition held for the first time at Enercare Center, which is breathtaking.
There are a total of 17 sets of large lanterns on display this time, all designed and produced by Zigong Lantern Group, which successfully held the China Lantern Festival at Ontario Place for three consecutive summers from 2006 to 2008, with unique craftsmanship. The theme of the exhibition blends the diverse cultures of Canada with the stories of the ancient Chinese Silk Road.
Dr. Zhang Mingda, the founding chairman of the Greater Toronto Chinese Cultural Center, praised the lantern exhibition as "different from past and traditional folk lantern festivals. This lantern art exhibition integrates modern sculpture and painting techniques from conception, design to production, greatly enhancing the artistic taste and ornamental value of lanterns

Ms. Virginia Ludy, CEO of the Canadian National Exhibition, praised during a meeting with Chairman Huang Dechun of the Lantern Group, saying, "China's lanterns live up to their reputation. The lanterns exhibited this time are very beautiful and realistic, attracting a large number of tourists to come and watch. Thank you to the Lantern Group for lighting up CNE with exquisite skills and once again presenting a touching Eastern story for the people and tourists of Toronto
As this year marks the China Canada Tourism Year, Huang Dechun hopes that these magnificent and lifelike lanterns will bring beautiful blessings to Toronto in the cool breeze of late summer and early autumn, adding icing on the cake to this beautiful city and bringing joy and a wonderful artistic experience to everyone who comes to admire the lanterns. He revealed that the lanterns in Zigong have gradually transformed from handmade to tangible works of art. Just look at the expressions of the characters on display this time, they are all different. And in the future, there may be more indoor exhibitions, but there will be more demand. He plans to come back to CNE next summer, hoping to learn more experience from indoor exhibitions and showcase the technology of light exhibitions with high technology.
The lantern exhibition will be held from 10am to 10pm every day during the CNE opening period, and will be extended until Monday, September 3rd, which is a labor holiday. Don't miss it!
