BOY STORY - Play Summer CNE K-POP EVENT
On August 27, 2019, the CNE K-POP EVENT, hosted by the Canadian National Exhibition and Imagic Canada Yimai Culture Media, and co organized by ADEM, officially kicked off at the CNE Bandshell Stage.
This event aims to promote youth culture and showcase the charm of the new generation of Chinese positive energy youth groups. In the previous selection, dancers from various popular dance troupes in Toronto were auditioned on the Taste of Asia stage, and their performance videos were uploaded to CNE's official YouTube channel and received widespread attention. The top ten programs with the highest number of likes once again appeared on CNE's stage, and the atmosphere was lively.
As a special guest of this event, the Chinese positive energy youth idol group BOY STORY from New Voice Entertainment undoubtedly became the protagonist of tonight's performance. The exciting and shocking performance won applause and cheers from the audience. BOY STORY performed four songs as the finale guest: 《Too Busy》，《Oh My Gosh》，《Enough》， Then end with a song for fans called 'For U'. In the middle, the members also invited fans to come on stage and play the secret transmission of "You, Draw, Guess". The members were divided into two groups and each invited two fans to come on stage. After the first person saw the word, they turned around and gestured to the second person. After receiving the message, the second person turned around and gestured to the third person, and so on. When the transmission ended with the fifth person, they guessed words including "I Love you" and "Boss".
The captain also shared with the fans that he was very nervous before going on stage because it was his first time performing in North America and he didn't know how many fans would support him. However, seeing the enthusiasm of the Chinese and foreign fans' bosses' in the audience, he was very moved and hoped that the next time he met everyone would be faster than he imagined.
BOY STORY is a teenage idol group created by JYP and Tencent. They officially debuted on September 21, 2018 with the single "ENOUGH"! During the one-year "Real Project!" warm-up period, BOY STORY released four high-quality singles and music videos titled "HOW OLD R U", "Can't Stop", "JUMP UP", and "Handz Up" as planned. BOYSTORY continuously strengthened the unique performance style of the group during the one-year "warm-up period", and gained unanimous recognition in the industry in terms of strength. The characteristics and competitiveness of the group are constantly improving, while also winning the attention and support of fans worldwide.
In the afternoon of that day, BOYSTORY also accepted interviews from major local media in Toronto, as well as live interviews from mainstream TV channels CP24, CityTV, and OMNI. In the interview, BOY STORY expressed their excitement about coming to Canada for the first time, and the local fans were also very enthusiastic, which moved them a lot.
On August 28th, which is also the 13th birthday of member Mingrui, in the presence of fans, Gou Gou blew out candles with the members in front of a specially customized cake by Superego Sun to celebrate this special moment.
