Starting from this Sunday (December 1st), Canada will increase a series of visa application fees for temporary residents, including application and processing fees for visitors, students, and workers who wish to enter or extend their stay in Canada.
The visa application scope involved in the fee adjustment includes:
Application for restoration of temporary resident status (for tourists, workers, and students);
Authorization to return to Canada application;
Criminal rehabilitation applications for serious crimes;
Application for Temporary Resident Permit (TRP).
Although the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has not yet released the updated fee amount, it is recommended that applicants prepare in advance and ensure that the correct fees are paid when submitting their application.

Notes on Payment for Online and Mailing Applications
Online application:
The fees will be processed immediately for applications submitted online. The applicant should confirm that the correct fees have been paid before submission to avoid any delays.
Mailing application:
For applications submitted by mail, there will be a delay between the applicant sending the required documents and IRCC receiving them. During this period, costs may change. In most cases, if the applicant meets the following conditions, the application will not be rejected:
Paid the full old fees;
Submitted a complete application; and
Mail the application before the cost changes.
If any cost differences are found, IRCC will contact the applicant and provide specific guidance on paying the difference.
Applicants need to closely monitor changes in fees to ensure a smooth completion of the application process.
