Zhao Chengjun competes for re-election in Scarborough North constituency and joins hands with Ford to protect Ontario's economy against tariff threats

The Ontario provincial election was held on February 27th, and the campaign office of Raymond Cho, the candidate of the Progressive Conservative Party in Scarborough North, held an opening ceremony yesterday (8th). Zhao Chengjun, who is running for a third consecutive term, said that this Ontario election is very important, as it is about defending the province, its people, employment, and economy. Only the Progressive Conservative Party leader Ford and his team can effectively counter the tariff threat from US President Trump.

Zhao Chengjun said at the opening ceremony, "Canada is facing the most significant trade war threat from neighboring countries in the history of this century, and we need to work together to protect Ontario's economy. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is committed to defending Ontario. Canada is not for sale, and we will not let our country become the 51st state of the United States

Zhao Chengjun emphasized that the only leader who can lead Ontario out of its predicament is Conservative Party leader Ford. Only Ford and the Progressive Conservative Party team can effectively defend Ontario, protect our families, jobs, and economy, and jointly fight against Trump's tariffs.

Regarding the Scarborough area, Zhao Chengjun said, 'Ford has great favor towards Scarborough. Compared to the previous Liberal government's long-term neglect of Scarborough, under the Conservative government, Scarborough not only gained a brand new Birchmount Hospital, but also established the first medical school in Scarborough's history, filling the gap in medical professionals in the area and comprehensively improving medical services.'; At the same time, Scarborough has acquired two new subway lines, the Scarborough Subway Extension and the Snow Bay East Subway Extension, making residents' lives more convenient

Ford also promised in Scarborough last Thursday to accelerate the construction of the "Cedar East Subway Extension", starting one year earlier than planned, connecting the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Line 4 and the Scarborough Subway Extension. At the same time, it was announced to rebuild and upgrade multiple locations on the east lane of Highway 401.

This includes rebuilding and upgrading the east lane of Highway 401, from Victoria Park Ave to Avenue Rd and then to Neilson Rd, and adding a new lane at the Kennedy Rd interchange; And rebuild and upgrade the eastbound expressway of Highway 401 from Avenue Rd to Warden Ave, including replacing the bridge at the intersection of Leslie St and Bayview Ave.

Zhao Chengjun promised that after his successful re-election, he will strive for more investment in the development of infrastructure in the area, and strive to reduce crime rates and residents' living costs. Under the Conservative Party, the primary goal will be to protect the Ontario economy and labor market, benefiting workers and businesses in the area.

The election in Ontario will be held on the 27th of this month. Early voting will be held between the 20th and 22nd of this month.
