The Canadian Chinese Professional Association held its annual charity dinner to recognize four outstanding Chinese individuals

The Chinese Professional Association of Canada (CPAC) held its 2025 charity dinner on the evening of March 8th in Markham, Greater Toronto Area, and presented the CPAC Annual "Professional Achievement Award" and "Youth Achievement Award".


The winners of the CPAC Professional Achievement Award (PAA) this year are four Chinese immigration professionals who have made achievements in different fields; Received the "Professional Achievement Award" and "Youth Achievement Award" respectively.


Rosalie L. Dong, a business management scholar and professor at Simon Fraser University in Canada Tung and music conductor Judith Yan were awarded the 2025 CPAC Professional Achievement Award.


Dong Xueying is an academician of the Royal Society of Canada, the World Academy of Management Sciences, the International Academy of Business Sciences, and the International Academy of Knowledge Research. He has served as the president of the World Academy of Management Sciences, the president of the International Academy of Business Sciences, the editor in chief of International Business Research magazine, and a member of the United Nations Human Resources Management Expert Group.

Yan Jing currently serves as the Music Director and Chief Conductor of Avalon Opera House on the east coast of Canada. She has served as a resident conductor at the San Francisco Opera House, the Canadian Opera Company, and the National Ballet of Canada. And has conducted performances for multiple performance groups in Germany, Italy, the United States, and Canada, winning widespread respect and praise from industry peers and global audiences.

Alex Cui, a young entrepreneur in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), and Phoenix Wong, an excellent spinal surgeon, have been awarded the 2025 CPAC "Youth Achievement Award".


Cui Yuhao is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of GPTZero, playing a key role in developing an AI author identity detection platform. GPTZero was launched in early 2023 with the aim of addressing the abuse of AI in the fields of education and media by analyzing the authenticity of text.


From a synchronized swimmer who once competed in international competitions to a healthcare professional, Huang Yanling's learning and career can be considered legendary. She combines health, athletic performance, and physical and mental well-being to create a center that integrates sports medicine with holistic care. As a spinal surgeon, she is licensed to practice in three regions: Hong Kong, Canada, and Australia, and possesses a wealth of professional qualifications.


Canadian federal parliamentarians Jiang Zhenyu, Ye Jiali, Dong Hanpeng, incumbent provincial councilor Wei Qiu Peifang, Bai Biqin, deputy mayor of Wanjin City Chen Guozhi, Toronto city councilor Wan Ligao, chairman of Wanjin Education Bureau in York District Lin Jinhao, as well as politicians and Chinese Vice Consul General in Toronto Cheng Hongbo attended the event and presented awards to the outstanding individuals who were commended. Hundreds of people from various sectors including local government, business, overseas Chinese, and students attended the dinner.
