Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office supports Long Yan 2025 to be full of Hong Kong flavor

Wu Wanjing, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Toronto, attended the 36th Dragon Banquet on January 25th to celebrate the Year of the Snake.


This annual event is hosted by the Yi Kang Foundation and supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office. The dinner showcased Hong Kong themed cuisine and performances, immersing over a thousand guests from Canadian political, business, and social organizations in the rich Chinese New Year cultural atmosphere full of Hong Kong flavor.


Wu Wanjing stated in her speech at the dinner that in recent years, various large-scale cultural and sports activities have not only brought joy to the citizens, but also established Hong Kong's reputation as the "capital of major events", further consolidating Hong Kong's position as a "center for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries", and establishing a rich and colorful cultural atmosphere.


Hong Kong's internationally renowned sand painting artist Hai Chao was invited to perform at this year's Dragon Banquet. Wu Wanjing said, "With elegant movements and exquisite skills, Haichao transforms simple sand painting canvases into vivid and varied images, telling the story of Hong Kong with unique beauty. His sand painting performance perfectly combines creativity and art, showcasing Hong Kong as a vibrant and diverse city full of creativity
