After re-election, the Conservative government will accelerate the construction of the eastern extension of the Snow Bay subway line

Doug Ford, the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party in Ontario, visited Scarborough Agincourt on Friday, February 7, 2025, and announced that "the re elected Conservative government will accelerate the construction of the east extension of the Sheppard Underground, which dates back to the time of my brother Robert Rob Ford. Construction will begin one year earlier than originally planned, connecting the Toronto Transit Authority's (TTC) Line 4 with the Scarborough Underground extension Ford praised the contributions and advocacy of Aris Babikian on behalf of the residents of Scarborough Agincourt, saying, "Thank you to Aris Babikian for promoting the construction of the subway extension line

In addition to announcing the Snow Bay Subway East Extension, Ford also promised to rebuild and upgrade the eastbound 401 highway from Avenue Road to Victoria Park Avenue, then to Neilson Road, and add a lane at the Kennedy Road intersection. He added, "Finally, the re elected Conservative government will rebuild and upgrade the 401 eastbound express from Avenue Road to Warden Avenue

Bai Biqin is very excited about this announcement as it fulfills his three core commitments to the residents of Scarborough Agincourt in 2018. In addition to building a new wing of Birchmount Hospital, allocating 1 billion yuan for the Bridletowne Community and Medical Center, and constructing an extension of the Scarborough Metro, the announcement of the Snow Bay Metro East Extension is his third major infrastructure project achievement in the past seven years for the residents of Scarborough Agincourt. In contrast, the former Liberal government ignored the needs of our residents for 15 years and took them for granted.
