Start your path to becoming an Instructor Lifeguard with the City of London
Are you ready to become a leader in your community? Do you want to learn advanced lifesaving skills, how to prevent aquatic emergencies, and how to teach others to safely learn how to swim? Instructor Lifeguards are water safety experts who have received training and certification through the Lifesaving Society of Ontario. Instructor lifeguards help to create a safe and friendly environment for Londoners to enjoy recreational opportunities at our indoor and outdoor pools. In addition, they are responsible for teaching the Lifesaving Society Learn to Swim program to hundreds of eager swimmers each year.
The first course to take on your path to becoming an Instructor Lifeguard starts with Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid. Upon successful completion of this course, you are ready to continue your progress through the Aquatic Leadership continuum where you will develop both rescue and instructional skills and round out your knowledge and fitness.
Register for any of these programs by visiting Play You Way online or calling 519-661-5575.
As part of our team you’ll enjoy a part-time job that helps you build life-long skills for your future career. Not only that, but you’ll get to work in a team-oriented environment and continually learn advanced skills while you build new life-long relationships.
